"Double Impact" with Pursu Studio

Back in January...

I had just moved into the new Hayloft Studio, had set it up and began taking on new jobs in the space. I'd been looking forward to this collaboration with Pursu Studio, Jalicia Nightengale, Tanya Gauthier and Ackeem Francis for a while and decided to approach the set differently to how I normally would for a beauty set.

I went large...

nearly using up the entire interior space to produce the beauty images in order to build layers of complexity into the lighting of the models and background. Since I don't have any C-Stands, V-Flats or flags, I used the ratio of distance between the light, model and background to produce a moody brown tone, that I thought really complimented both models' skin tones.

As always...

I shot to the brief and once we were all satisfied with how the images turned out Jalicia, Tanya and I began to experiment with alternative looks. We brought out my leather jacket and a few shirts to allow the models to style themselves, all the while Kristopher Streek was taking behind the scenes video.

Some may know, some may not...

that Logan C Thomas has once again MOVED! I'm now situated in Pavilion Court, Hastings, Barbados. It doesn't have any official name yet, but I've lovingly called it Ithaca after Odysseus' island home.

At this time I am not offering studio rentals of any kind, but am willing to do small-scale photoshoots in this new location with my private clients. Otherwise, I recommend that we use another studio next door from me called "Pavilion Studios" owned by Photographer Andrew Hulsmeier.
